Dear families,
If you would like to volunteer in our classroom, please complete the fingerprinting at the county office. Information regarding the process is available in the front office. All volunteers must be fingerprinted and cleared before they may begin helping in the classroom.

Thank you to all of our parent volunteers from last week, and those of you who are planning to come in during the next few weeks. Also, thank you to parents who have sent in Clorox wipes, craft "googly" eyes, and hand sanitizer for our classroom.
Please make sure that you discuss fire escape plans with your child, as last week was Fire Safety Week. Also, if you have not yet returned the holiday survey, please send it back to school at your earliest convenience.
This week we will be learning how to write the letter S, identify and continue patterns, point word by word while reading, continue fall writing, and read the word "see".
You can help your child reinforce this skill at home by:
-Looking for the letter "s" around town (even in unusual fonts or on TV), and emphasizing its sound
-Play the PBS Pattern Game
-Have your child list words that begin with the letter "s"
-Have your child show you the difference between a word and a letter, and find the first and last word on a page.
Thank you for your continued support!
