This week we:
-Practiced identifying our names. We sorted our names by girls/boys and number of letters.
-Completed self-portraits, doing our very best to include several body parts and features.
-Learned how to write in our journals.
-Learned several new songs, including the ABC Disco, Letter Sound Song, and Silly Pirate Song.
-Practiced listening to clean-up signals (teacher's bell) and quiet signals (Class, Class, Class or clapping rhythm).
-Practiced walking quietly and safely in line, with Gator teeth and tails, and eyes facing forward.
-Reviewed classroom rules and procedures.
-Met our resource teachers for all subjects: Cultural Awareness, Guidance, Media, PE, Art, Music, and Computer.
-Learned to write the capital letter A (slanted line up, slanted line down, horizontal line across) and lowercase letter a (circle around, then straight line down).
-Made our own class book based on Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten, where we wrote about what each student did to get ready for kindergarten this year.
As you can see, we have been very busy! Have a great weekend.
