What We Learned This Week 9/24

This week we:

-Learned how to write the letter Tt
-Ended our practice of sorting and grouping, and began discussing position words inside and outside
-Worked in reading stations, where we made letters out of play-doh, searched for the letter t in books, and mapped the letter t, drawing pictures of words beginning with t
-Created a Self Portrait book of our class
-Made seat people and prepared for Open House
-Continued afternoon rotating groups, where students visited centers and searched for letters in a variety of fonts
-Discussed how we infer things everyday, using clues to learn things that are not told directly to us
-Introduced the purpose of a period, exclamation point, and question mark
-Began guided reading groups, where students will begin reading leveled books with Mrs. Colwell
-Learned to write 0, 1, and 2
