3D Shapes, Symmetry

As part of our geometry unit, we have been working on identifying and building 3D figures. We took out the play-doh and got working. Pretty soon our class became masters in crafting cylinders, spheres, cubes, and cones!

We learned that a design or object has symmetry when each side is a mirror image, or exactly the same, as the other side. Then we tried to create our own designs with symmetry using pattern blocks.
