Weekly Newsletter

I hope you all weathered Hurricane Irene safely this weekend. As stated on the Onslow County Weather Alert message, ALL kindergarten students should report to school today. Since we are under a 2-hour delay, this means arriving at Stateside between 10:15 and 10:45 this morning.
I apologize to those of you who e-mailed me yesterday. There were some technical issues in the Onslow County e-mail system and I was locked out of my account until this morning.
If your child has already been to school one day, please make sure that they wear/bring back the yellow hanging tag they wore home from school. These yellow tags are how we make sure that every single kindergarten child is sent home the correct way (car, boys and girls club, bus number, etc.) I cannot stress enough how important these yellow tags are in identifying your child during school dismissal time. Thank you for your help in this matter!
If your child has not had their first day yet, I have their yellow tags, and they will be wearing them home today from school.
Please remember to pack your child a snack labeled with their name each day. Packing the snack separate from your child's lunch box will help keep them from accidentally eating their snack during lunch.
I am excited to get our whole class together today, and know that we will have an outstanding week! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
