September Home Project Directions

Timeline of Your Child’s Life

In keeping with our study of families, past and present, the Kindergarten team is asking for your help on a project. Your child’s understanding of past and present is difficult at this age and we are aiming our studies on opening this area of understanding. By creating a timeline of your child’s life, with them assisting in the project, you will be giving them concrete examples of how people change over time. This will correlate with our study of life cycles and benefit your child a great deal.
It is not meant to be difficult, so be sure to have fun with it.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. You and your child will choose pictures of your child from birth to present and attach them to the plates that we have provided for you. The hole punch is so that you can attach each plate to the next one in any way you would like. You can use ribbon, string or get very creative!

2. On the back of each plate, write something about your child at the age that the picture shows. A fond memory or what they were able to do at that age, or even a FIRST of something like their first tooth or their first bike ride.

These will be displayed in the kindergarten hall.  The projects will be due on September 22nd.
