Today I introduced the students to using describing words to make their writing more interesting. Instead of just saying "I see a dog", we are working toward more interesting sentences, like "I see a tiny, white, fluffy dog." Today their challenge was to draw a picture of a flower, and then write a sentence about the flower using at least one describing word. They all then got a chance to use our HoverCam to display their writing on the board and read their sentence to the class, with their face projecting on the screen as they read as well. Here are some photos of their writing.
